Founder & Primary Equine Massage Therapist, Helping Hooves Wellness
For Kelly Daniels, the connection between a human and a horse is more than a partnership—it is a sacred, wordless language that only those who have shared their lives with animals can truly understand. A lifelong animal lover and advocate, Kelly has always felt a profound responsibility to give back to the animals that offer us so much of their strength, spirit, and loyalty. It is this undeniable connection that led her to develop Helping Hooves Wellness.
Kelly’s expertise is built upon an academic and clinical foundation. She pursued a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Saint Xavier University and an Associate of Science in Biology from Moraine Valley Community College. Before specializing in equine care, Kelly spent over six years in veterinary clinics, gaining hands-on experience in primary, emergency, and integrative medicine.
Her clinical background includes serving as a Veterinary Technician at Emergency Veterinary Care South and Banfield Pet Hospital, where she assisted with preventative care, surgeries and emergency treatments. Notably, her work at The Royal Treatment Veterinary Center involved assisting with advanced integrative therapies, including underwater therapy, laser therapy, and massage therapy. This deep understanding of veterinary medicine and physical rehabilitation allows her to approach equine massage with a unique, scientifically-informed perspective.
Kelly is a Certified Equine Massage Therapist (CEMT), having earned her certification through Therasage EMC. Her training is the foundation of a practice built on anatomy, physiology, and a deep understanding of equine biomechanics. By specializing in equine massage therapy, Kelly helps horses of all disciplines find relief from tension, recover more effectively from the rigors of training, and reach their full physical potential.
Beyond the stable, Kelly is a seasoned leader in animal welfare. With a decade of experience in the non-profit sector, including Membership Sales Manager at Lincoln Park Zoo and as the Development and Events Manager for Animal Care League, she has dedicated her career to driving support for animal initiatives. Today, she also applies her expertise in relationship building as a Membership Director at Fitness Formula Clubs, further showcasing her commitment to health and community.
